What we like to see on someone's CV

  • Your 'working history' should contain no unexplained gaps, and cover your time from age 18 onwards. If you were unemployed, traveling for a year, or went back to full-time education please say so.
  • Times should be given to the nearest month, eg. May02 - Aug03.
  • For each job, please state the company name, location, industry sector, and job title.
  • Why you moved jobs, and how each move helped you with your career.
  • Remember that there is a difference between portraying your experiences and abilities in a positive light, and downright exaggeration. The latter is often easy to see through!
